Job summary

Vegrow is seeking an experienced professional to lead last mile operations across facilities in Nashik and broader Maharashtra. You will coordinate with supply, procurement, logistics, quality and sales teams to ensure smooth movement, handling and dispatch of fresh produce.

Key responsibilities include managing day-to-day operations, monitoring KPIs, optimizing costs, and guiding deployment of manpower for 100-300 frontline staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration, agriculture, operations, or related field.
• Experience in last mile supply chain operations, warehouse, operations, logistics, e-commerce, FMCG, food, agriculture, or fresh produce businesses.

Responsibilities

• Facility & Operations Management: Manage day-to-day operations of assigned facilities/warehouses, ensuring SOPs, standards and business requirements.
• Supply Chain Execution: Coordinate with Supply, Procurement, Logistics, Quality and Sales teams for movement, handling, storage and dispatch of produce.
• Inventory Management: Ensure inventory accuracy, monitor stock movement, ageing, wastage, discrepancies, and drive measures to minimize losses.
• Manpower Management: Plan and deploy manpower, monitor productivity and attendance, address gaps.
• Performance Monitoring: Track KPIs including productivity, throughput, wastage, inventory accuracy, TAT, and cost; prepare reports and drive corrective actions.
• Cost & Productivity Optimization: Identify inefficiencies, improve resource utilization, drive cost reduction and standardization.
• Process Improvement: Identify recurring challenges, conduct root-cause analysis, implement improvements, automation and best practices.
• Cross-functional Coordination: Collaborate with Supply, Demand, Procurement, Logistics, Quality, Finance, HR, vendors and service partners to resolve issues.
• Facility Expansion & Cluster Support: Support new facility setup, relocation, operationalization; travel across locations to stabilize operations and support expansion.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelors degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, Agriculture, Operations, or a related field.
• 48 years of experience in Last mile supply chain operations, warehouse, operations, logistics, E-commerce, FMCG, food, agriculture, or fresh produce businesses.
• Experience in facility/warehouse operations and inventory management will be preferred.
• Experience managing on-ground operational teams of 100-300 is preferred.
