Job summary

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and sustain quality systems per IATF 16949 and ISO 9001.
• Update and maintain documentation and procedures.
• Investigate non-conformances using structured problem-solving tools (8D, Fishbone, 5 Whys).
• Lead corrective and preventive actions to eliminate recurring issues.
• Support APQP, PPAP and FMEA activities for readiness.
• Analyze quality metrics such as scrap, defects and complaints.
• Use statistical tools to identify improvements and support CI initiatives.
• Collaborate with engineering, production, and supply chain to resolve issues.
• Interface with customers to address concerns and support audits.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and sustain quality management systems in compliance with industry standards such as IATF 16949 and ISO 9001.
• Ensure documentation and procedures are up to date and effectively followed.
• Investigate product and process non-conformances using structured problem-solving tools (e.g., 8D, Fishbone, 5 Whys).
• Drive the implementation of corrective and preventive actions to eliminate recurring issues.
• Participate in APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning), PPAP (Production Part Approval Process), and FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) activities to ensure product and process readiness.
• Collect and interpret quality metrics, including scrap rates, defect trends, and customer complaints.
• Use statistical tools to identify improvement opportunities and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Work closely with engineering, production, and supply chain teams to resolve quality issues.
• Interface with customers to address concerns, manage quality documentation, and support audits or visits.

Education and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 4+ years of applicable experience
• 3+ years of experience

Skills

• Strong working knowledge of automotive quality systems and tools, including APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, SPC, and Control Plans.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 standards is essential for ensuring compliance and driving quality assurance throughout the product lifecycle.
• Ability to analyze complex data sets, identify root causes of quality issues, and implement effective corrective and preventive actions.
• Experience with Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, and statistical analysis tools (e.g., Minitab, Excel) is highly valued.
