Job summary

Saint Gobain Fosroc seeks an HSE professional to support the HSE Manager in Karnataka, ensuring compliance with group standards and fostering a safe culture across operations. The role emphasizes training, audits, incident investigations, risk assessments and PPE control.

The preferred candidate will have 5+ years in manufacturing/chemical environments, formal HSE certification, and strong MS Office skills. Based near Nelamangala, some travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Formal HSE certification/ accreditation required.
• Strong admin skills with MS Office suite.
• Experience in manufacturing/chemical environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist HSE Manager on Group HSE Training Modules and ensure employees are trained through formal and informal sessions.
• Enforce and ensure compliance to Permit To Work standards at all times.
• Assist HSE Manager in conducting internal HSE audits at regular intervals.
• Compile monthly HSE Reports and categorize USACs; prepare action plans to reduce USACs and prevent recurrence.
• Control the purchase and issue of all PPE and ensure correct PPE usage.
• Conduct incident investigations; identify root/contributory causes; prepare reports and action plans to prevent recurrence.
• Carry out Formal Risk Assessments as per Fosroc Methodology for hazardous tasks and informal risk assessments for PTW certificates.
• Perform any other HSE duties as directed by senior management.

Role & responsibilities

To ensure that Fosroc HSE Standards and Procedures are fully implemented, ensure Legal Compliance, increase HSE awareness, and establish a safe working culture in all Operational and Non Operational areas/functions.

Objectives of the Role

Key Areas of Responsibility

ESSENTIAL

• Assist HSE Manager on Group HSE Training Modules and ensure that all employees are adequately trained, through Formal and informal training sessions
• Enforce and ensure compliance to Permit To Work standards at all times.
• Assist HSE Manager in conducting internal HSE audits at regular intervals.
• Compile monthly HSE Reports for submission, monthly categorization of all USACs reported/observed during the past month. From which undertake continual categorization of the USACs and prepare specific action plans as required to reduce USACs and eliminate re-occurrence.
• Control the purchase and issue of all PPE and ensure the correct PPE are in use.
• Conducting incident investigations, identify Root and Contributory Causes, prepare associated reports and action plan to eliminate/ prevent reoccurrence.
• Carry out Formal Risk Assessments as per Fosroc Risk Assessment Methodology, for all Hazardous Tasks, New and Unusual Tasks and informal Risk Assessments for all PTW certificates.
• Perform any other HSE duties as directed/required by senior management

Preferred candidate profile

1 At least 5 years experience in Manufacturing / Chemical environment.

2 Formal HSE certification & accreditation.

3 Strong Admin skills, competent in MS Excel, MS Word and MS Powerpoint.
