Job summary

Crescendo Global is seeking an Assistant Manager – R&D (3–4+ years) in Gurgaon to drive end-to-end product development in Food & Beverage. You will own formulation, prototyping, sensory work, and scale-up toward commercialisation, collaborating with Marketing, Manufacturing and Supply Chain to meet launch timelines.

The ideal candidate has hands-on NPD experience, a strong background in beverages or FMCG, and a passion for consumer-focused product innovation within a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Hands-on R&D / NPD experience in Food & Beverage / FMCG industry.
• Degree in Food Technology, Food Science, Dairy Technology, Biotechnology or related field.
• Strong understanding of the complete NPD cycle from concept through scale-up.
• Experience in formulation, prototyping, sensory evaluation and product optimisation.

Responsibilities

• Develop new food and beverage products from concept through formulation, scale-up and launch.
• Own formulation, prototyping, sensory evaluation, stability studies and product optimisation.
• Conduct lab, pilot and plant trials and manage scale-up for production.
• Explore ingredients, flavours, formats and trends to identify opportunities.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Procurement, Manufacturing, Quality, Packaging and Supply Chain for launches.
• Work with ingredient and flavour suppliers and external partners on development.
• Troubleshoot formulation and manufacturing challenges during development and scale-up.
• Improve existing products in taste, nutrition, quality and cost.

We are looking for a hands-on Assistant Manager – R&D with 3–4+ years of experience in the Food & Beverage / FMCG industry to drive new product development from concept and formulation through scale-up and commercialisation.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in food/beverage R&D, formulation, prototyping, sensory evaluation, product optimisation and commercialisation, with a passion for innovative and consumer-focused product development.

Responsibilities

Requirements

2. Degree/Postgraduate qualification in Food Technology, Food Science, Dairy Technology, Biotechnology or a related field.
3. Strong experience in the complete NPD cycle – concept, formulation, trials, scale-up and commercialisation.
4. Strong understanding of ingredients, formulation, product stability and manufacturing processes.
5. Beverage development experience will be a strong advantage.
6. Candidates from innovative, fast-moving, new-age F&B companies/startups are preferred.
7. Entrepreneurial, experimental and hands-on approach to product development.
8. Strong cross-functional coordination and project management skills.
9. Candidates from NIFTEM, CFTRI or other premier Food Technology/Food Science institutes will be preferred.
