Job summary

Agratas – A Tata Enterprise in Gujarat, India seeks an experienced role responsible for end-to-end coordination and performance management across Production, Quality, Maintenance, and EHS. The position acts as a single-point integrator to achieve SQDC targets through cross-functional collaboration.

The role emphasizes ramp-up, stabilization, and continuous improvement, with a focus on data-driven decisions, risk mitigation, and adherence to safety and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical or related).
  • PMP or equivalent project management certification is desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Drive end-to-end operational performance across manufacturing lines to meet SQDC targets.
  • Lead daily operations governance to ensure alignment and quick resolution of issues impacting output, quality, uptime, and safety.
  • Monitor and improve KPIs including OEE, throughput, yield/FPY, scrap, downtime, and safety metrics.
  • Ensure adherence to SOPs, process discipline, and regulatory compliance across operations.
  • Drive cross-functional problem-solving using structured methodologies (RCA, 8D) to address losses and safety risks.
  • Coordinate production planning with equipment readiness and workforce availability for ramp-up.
  • Ensure preventive and predictive maintenance to maximize equipment availability.
  • Identify operational risks and implement mitigation plans to prevent disruptions.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, defect reduction, cost optimization, and safe operations.
  • Embed EHS practices to ensure safe working environment in daily operations.
  • Coordinate with engineering, supply chain, and program teams for readiness for new product introduction and process changes.
  • Track and close cross-functional actions with strong execution discipline.

Job Summary

This role is responsible for end‑to‑end coordination and performance management across key operational functions including Production, Quality, Maintenance, and EHS. The role ensures seamless execution of manufacturing programs, drives operational excellence, and supports ramp‑up, stabilization, and continuous improvement initiatives.This position acts as a single‑point integrator across cross‑functional teams to achieve safety, quality, delivery, and cost (SQDC) targets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive end‑to‑end operational performance across manufacturing lines to meet Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost (SQDC) targets
  • Lead daily operations governance (tier meetings, war rooms, escalations) to ensure alignment and quick resolution of issues impacting production output, product quality, equipment uptime, and safety
  • Monitor and improve key KPIs including OEE, throughput, yield/FPY, scrap, downtime, and safety metrics, ensuring data‑driven decision‑making
  • Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures, process discipline, and regulatory compliance across all operational activities
  • Drive cross‑functional problem‑solving using structured methodologies (e.g., RCA, 8D) to address production losses, quality issues, equipment failures, and safety risks
  • Integrate production planning with equipment readiness and workforce availability to ensure smooth line execution and ramp‑up adherence
  • Ensure effective execution of preventive and predictive maintenance to maximize equipment availability and minimize unplanned downtime
  • Identify operational risks across process, equipment, and safety, and implement mitigation plans to prevent disruptions
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity enhancement, defect reduction, cost optimization, and safe operations
  • Ensure safe working environment by embedding EHS practices, hazard identification, and compliance with safety standards into daily operations
  • Coordinate closely with engineering, supply chain, and program teams to ensure readiness for new product introduction, ramp‑up, and process changes
  • Track and ensure closure of cross‑functional actions, maintaining strong focus on execution discipline, ownership, and accountability
  • Lead performance reviews and provide structured updates to leadership with clear insights on risks, progress, and recovery plans
Skills Required
  • Strong understanding of end‑to‑end manufacturing, Quality process
  • Proven experience managing complex, cross‑functional, manufacturing programs
  • Ability to operate effectively above execution, integrating risk, timing, and decisions without owning process mechanics
  • High credibility with engineering, manufacturing, operations, and leadership stakeholders
  • Strong analytical and communication skills, particularly in executive and decision‑driven forums
  • Ability to drive alignment and outcomes without direct authority
Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, or related discipline) or equivalent experience
  • 5 + years’ experience in manufacturing programs, factory launches, or large‑scale industrial projects
  • Prior experience in battery, automotive, advanced manufacturing, or gigafactory environments strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated success operating in greenfield, brownfield, or scale‑up manufacturing launches
Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical Chemical, or related).
  • PMP or equivalent project management certification is desirable.
