Job summary

PlatinumRx Group is seeking a results-oriented Assistant Procurement Manager to oversee end-to-end procurement for the Ethical category across India. You will ensure product availability, optimize inventory, improve margins, strengthen vendor relationships, and lead the procurement team to achieve business objectives.

• Strong analytical, communication, problem-solving, and team management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and coordinate with stakeholders across India.

Responsibilities

• Manage the complete purchase order (PO) lifecycle, including PO release, order follow-up, delivery tracking, and closure.
• Ensure timely procurement to maintain product availability across locations.
• Monitor pending orders and coordinate with vendors to minimize delays and stock-outs.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers.
• Monitor vendor fill rates, product availability, and order fulfillment performance.
• Drive margin improvement through effective negotiations and commercial discussions.
• Coordinate payment reconciliation and resolve vendor-related discrepancies.
• Monitor inventory levels and optimize stock availability across locations.
• Reduce inventory holding days and minimize excess, slow-moving, and non-moving stock.
• Ensure efficient inventory planning based on demand, sales trends, and stock requirements.
• Prepare and analyze procurement reports, vendor performance reports, fill-rate reports, and inventory reports.
• Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Use data-driven insights to improve procurement efficiency and cost effectiveness.
• Lead, guide, and monitor the procurement team to achieve defined targets.
• Coordinate with internal teams, including Sales, Warehouse, Finance, and Operations, to streamline processes.
• Identify process gaps, implement corrective actions, and ensure timely issue resolution.
