Job summary

WNS Global Services Pvt Ltd is seeking an Assistant Manager - Operations to lead end-to-end contract delivery for a critical client and drive excellence in Financial Crime Risk Management across UK markets. The role requires hands-on AML experience, team leadership of 20–40 personnel, and strong client governance skills within an 24x7 operation.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years in operations, superior communication, and willingness to work from office, with ACAMS/CFCS/CFE preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of experience in operations/financial services delivery.
• Experience in managing people and teams (on papers).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience in Workforce Management for 24x7 operations.
• Willingness to work from office.
• ACAMS/CFCS/CFE certified is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end contract delivery for a critical client with high precision.
• Oversee AML programs: sanctions screening and transaction monitoring.
• Lead a team of 20–40 resources including SMEs and production staff.
• Conduct governance meetings with clients and internal stakeholders.
• Identify process gaps and drive client value through improvement initiatives.
• Coordinate with banks, PSPs, FinTechs and internal teams to meet contractual commitments.

Job Description

• Manage end-to-end contract delivery for a critical client with perfection
• Experience in Financial Crime Risk Management (FCRM) programs supporting UK markets
• In-depth understanding and hands-on experience of AML Programs, specifically on Sanction Screening & Transaction Monitoring (TM - L1 & L2) processes
• Experience in working with Banks/Payment Service Providers/FinTechs
• Ability to analyze problems, situations and suggest solutions from an operations perspective.
• Ability to work with the team and deliver against contractual commitments
• Ability to act as an SME and build expertise in the system to achieve sustainability
• Analyzing and executing assignments/deals with high & moderate complexity
• Ability to identify process gaps and take initiative for client value creation
• Lead a span of 20-40 resources including SMEs, Quality, Training and Production resources
• Verbal and Written proficiency in English
• Ability to handle clients and conduct governance meetings
