Job summary

Rempact is seeking an Assistant Manager - Merchandising in Bangalore. You will support assortment planning, allocation, inventory management and sales analysis, collaborating with Product, Buying, Planning, Retail, and Supply Chain teams to ensure the right products are available at the right stores and times.

The role suits someone analytical, commercial, and passionate about fashion and sportswear, with ability to translate data into actionable merchandising decisions.

Qualifications

  • 3–4 years of experience in merchandising, planning, allocation, or a similar retail function.
  • Experience in fashion, sportswear, footwear, apparel or lifestyle retail preferred.
  • Strong analytical and commercial understanding with the ability to work with sales and inventory data.
  • Good understanding of merchandising fundamentals: assortment, allocation, replenishment, sell-through.
  • Strong Excel and data analysis skills.
  • Good communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Strong attention to detail with a structured approach to problem-solving.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment with high ownership.
  • Candidates from NIFT or similar fashion/design institutes preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Support seasonal assortment planning based on sales trends, consumer insights, and business requirements.
  • Analyze sales, stock, sell-through and inventory performance to identify opportunities and risks.
  • Support allocation of products across stores based on demand, store performance, and regional requirements.
  • Monitor stock availability and recommend replenishment to improve sell-through and reduce excess inventory.
  • Track key merchandising KPIs including sell-through, stock turn, full-price sales and inventory productivity.
  • Work closely with Retail teams to understand store-level performance and market feedback.
  • Partner with Product, Buying, Planning and Supply Chain teams to ensure smooth product flow and availability.
  • Support new store launches, seasonal launches, and promotional initiatives.
  • Provide regular sales and inventory reports with clear insights and recommended actions.
  • Identify opportunities to improve assortment, inventory productivity, and overall commercial performance.

The Role

As an Assistant Manager - Merchandising, you will support the merchandising function across assortment planning, allocation, inventory management and sales analysis. You will work closely with the Product, Buying, Planning, Retail, Supply Chain and Finance teams to ensure the right products are available at the right stores and at the right time.
