Job summary

Unispace Bengaluru is seeking an Assistant Manager - MEP to lead mechanical, electrical and plumbing scope on design-and-build workplace projects, from design review through handover. You will collaborate with design, project management and site teams and serve as the MEP point of contact for clients, consultants and subcontractors.

You will support the Project Manager across planning, execution and closeout, coordinating schedules, budgets and progress reporting while ensuring safety, quality

Qualifications

• University degree in construction management, engineering, architecture or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 1-3 years of experience in construction, project management, or a similar role.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and collaboration across diverse teams.
• Ability to use project management software such as Procore, MS Project, or similar tools.
• On-site work and attendance at project meetings.
• Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.

Responsibilities

• Assist with coordinating and managing all project phases, including planning, execution, and closeout.
• Collaborate with project teams, subcontractors, suppliers and clients to meet goals and deadlines.
• Assist in preparing schedules, budgets and work plans.
• Monitor progress, track milestones and update project documentation.
• Support procurement, track materials and equipment deliveries.
• Help manage subcontractor performance and safety/quality standards.
• Conduct site visits for inspections, meetings and quality control.
• Assist in addressing issues or changes to ensure timely resolutions.
• Prepare and distribute regular project status reports to stakeholders.
• Contribute to project financials and budget tracking.
• Support continuous improvement of project management processes.

We’re looking for an Assistant Manager - MEP to join our Bangalore team. You’ll manage the mechanical, electrical and plumbing scope on our design-and-build workplace projects, from design review through to handover. You’ll work with our design, project management and site teams, and act as the MEP point of contact for clients, consultants and subcontractors.

What you’ll do

As an Assistant Project Manager, you will support the Project Manager in overseeing construction projects from start to finish. Your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting with the coordination and management of all project phases, including planning, execution, and closeout.
• Collaborating with project teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients to ensure project goals and deadlines are met.
• Assisting in preparing project schedules, budgets, and work plans.
• Monitoring project progress, tracking milestones, and updating project documentation.
• Supporting procurement efforts, including tracking materials and equipment deliveries.
• Helping to manage subcontractor performance and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Conducting site visits to aid with inspections, meetings, and quality control activities.
• Helping to address any issues or changes that arise during construction, ensuring timely resolutions.
• Preparing and distributing regular project status reports to stakeholders.
• Aiding with the project financials, including invoice approvals and budget tracking.
• Contributing to the continuous improvement of project management processes and practices.

What you’ll bring
