Arpan
Arpan is an award-winning non-profit working to end child sexual abuse in India. Based in Mumbai, it is the country's largest non-profit offering child sexual abuse prevention and support services for both children and adults, with a team of over 155 people. Its main programme teaches children aged 4 to 18 about personal safety in schools, so they can spot unsafe situations and ask for help. Arpan also trains teachers and parents to prevent and respond to abuse, and uses research and advocacy to push for better policies at the local, state and national levels. Since 2007, Arpan has reached over 19.2 million children and adults and has won 8 national and 2 international awards.
