Job summary

Hector And Streak Consulting is seeking an experienced lawyer to manage and negotiate property and service contracts across a pan-India retail network with international operations. The role focuses on due diligence, drafting and negotiating diverse contracts, and ensuring compliance.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of law experience, strong contract negotiation skills, and the ability to advise on legal issues related to marketing, retail and supply agreements.

Qualifications

• Law graduates with 5+ years of experience in managing and negotiating property and service contracts at pan-India and international levels.

Responsibilities

• Property due diligence and contracting, including Lease, Leave and License, Maintenance, Amenities contracts and stamp duty/registration calculations.
• Draft, vet, negotiate and finalize vendor, supply, transport, logistics, sourcing, IT, advertising, marketing, promotions, consultancy/employee/designer, housekeeping and security contracts.
• Represent the company in contract negotiations on legal issues.
• Inform business units about developments in marketing and retail sectors, including court rulings and amendments.
• Draft replies to notices, ensure timely escalations and dispute mitigation.
• Provide inputs to operational matters to support the business and assist process owners with statutory compliance.

Role & responsibilities

• Property due diligence and contracting - Title due diligence, contracts such as Lease, Leave and License, Maintenance, Amenities contracts, including Stamp duty and registration fee calculation
• Service Contracts - Creation of template contracts, drafting, vetting, negotiate with third parties and finalise different types of contracts such as vendor Agreements, supply contracts, Transport and Logistics related contracts, Sourcing Contracts, IT contracts, Advertising, Marketing and Promotions Contracts, Consultancy / Employee / Designer Contracts, Housekeeping, Security Contracts & other service contracts
• Represent company at contract negotiations on legal issues.
• Keep abreast of and inform business units on relevant developments in marketing and retail industry such as Court ruling/s or legislative amendment/s.
• Draft Replies to notices, ensure timely escalations and dispute mitigation.
• Provide inputs in operational matters to ensure desired support to the business.
• Support the process owners to ensure the statutory compliances.
