Qualifications

Responsabilités

• Execute end-to-end RTR activities for insurance or reinsurance entities.
• Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, provisions, and adjustments.
• Perform general ledger maintenance and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing.
• Reconcile premium receivables, claims, commissions, and reinsurance balances.
• Support insurance accounting entries including premium, claims, commission, and reinsurance transactions.
• Prepare trial balances, account schedules, and financial reporting packs.
• Investigate and resolve reconciliation breaks and aging items.
• Ensure timely close activities and support audits and controls.
• Coordinate with underwriting, claims, actuarial, AP/AR and other teams as required.

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced finance professional with expertise in Record to Report (RTR) and insurance accounting. The candidate will be responsible for general ledger accounting, journal entries, account reconciliations, month-end closing, financial reporting, and accounting activities specific to insurance or reinsurance operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute end-to-end RTR activities for insurance or reinsurance entities.
• Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, provisions, and adjustment entries.
• Perform general ledger maintenance and balance sheet account reconciliations.
• Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities.
• Reconcile premium receivables, claims-related balances, commissions, and reinsurance balances, as applicable.
• Support insurance-related accounting entries, including premium, claims, commission, and reinsurance transactions.
• Prepare trial balances, account schedules, and financial reporting packs.
• Investigate and resolve reconciliation breaks, accounting discrepancies, and aged open items.
• Ensure timely completion of close activities in accordance with accounting policies and deadlines.
• Support internal and external audits and provide required documentation.
• Maintain compliance with applicable accounting standards, internal controls, and reporting requirements.
• Coordinate with underwriting, claims, actuarial, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and other finance teams as required.

Required Skills

• Hands-on experience in RTR/R2R, general ledger accounting, or financial accounting.
• Relevant experience in insurance or reinsurance accounting.
• Strong knowledge of journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and financial close.
• Understanding of insurance accounting transactions, including premiums, claims, commissions, or reinsurance balances.
• Experience in preparing trial balances, balance sheet reconciliations, and financial reports.
• Working knowledge of SAP, Oracle, or another ERP system.
• Good analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder-management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• B.Com, M.Com, MBA Finance, CA Inter, or equivalent qualification.
• Experience with insurance or reinsurance clients in a BPO, KPO, or global shared services environment.
• Knowledge of IFRS 17, US GAAP, or UK GAAP, depending on the supported market.

Key Performance Indicators

• Timely and accurate completion of month-end close.
• Reconciliation accuracy and reduction of aged open items.
• Journal-entry accuracy and adherence to accounting controls.
• Timely delivery of financial reports.
