Job summary

Kennametal India Ltd invites an experienced Assistant Manager - Fixture Design in Bengaluru. You will lead hydraulic and manual fixture design for machining centres, with minimal supervision, leveraging your deep knowledge of fixtures for automotive components.

The role requires 8–12 years in hydraulic fixture design for VMC/HMC/VTL, GD&T, and proficiency in preparing drawings, BOMs, and tool layouts. Will travel to customer and supplier sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8–12 years of experience in design of hydraulic fixtures for VMC/HMC/VTL.
• Experience with fixtures for automotive components is beneficial.
• Strong knowledge of GD&T and manufacturing drawings.

Responsibilities

• Design hydraulic and manual clamping fixtures for machining centres with minimal supervision.
• Understand hydraulic and pneumatic circuits and their usage.
• Design fixtures for automotive components and for power sector equipment.
• Prepare manufacturing drawings, BOMs, assembly drawings, and casting drawings.
• Show knowledge of fixture design fundamentals and tooling layouts.
• Travel to customer and supplier locations for technical discussions as needed.

• - Work ing with minimum supervision for d e sign of Hydraulic and M anual Clamping fixtures for M achining centres.
• - VMC, HMC & VTL Understanding of H ydraulic & P neumatic circuits & their usage.
• - Design of Cradle type, Tom b stone type fixtures for 2-wheeler and 4-wheeler engine / Transmission, Braking components.
• - Design of Fixtures for Tractor, Truck, Construction equipment machinery components
• - Design of Fixtures for Power sector, Oil & Gas K nowledge of GD&T
• - Preparing m anufacturing drawings of parts.
• - Prepare BOM, Assembly drawings.
• - Prepare casting drawings.
• - Sound knowledge of F ixture design fundamentals.
• - Select various bough t out parts with necessary calculation .
