Job summary

Anand Group India in Pune is seeking an Assistant Manager - Finance to manage end-to-end accounting and the accuracy of books. You will oversee TB, P&L, balance sheet and drive monthly closings while ensuring compliance with German GAAP for group reporting.

You will coordinate year-end activities, audits, and MIS reporting, while monitoring cash flow, AR/AP, and internal controls across the finance function. This role requires CA qualification and SAP experience.

Responsibilities

• End-to-end accounting activities and accuracy of books.
• Review and finalisation of Trial Balance, P&L and Balance Sheet.
• Prepare periodic financial statements and ensure completeness and accuracy of records.
• Perform account scrutiny, reconciliations and closing of open items.
• Coordinate year-end closing and support audits.
• Lead monthly closing and ensure timely completion.
• Review provisions, accruals, prepaid expenses and revenue/expense recognition.
• Perform monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations and variance reviews.

Key Role Expectations

Lead the design, development, validation, and launch of advanced electrical and electronic systems used in automotive thermal management applications for conventional, hybrid, and electric vehicles. The role will be responsible for developing intelligent thermal control solutions including electronic control units, sensors, actuators, smart pumps, coolant valves, HVAC electronics, battery thermal management systems, and connected thermal control products.

The incumbent will drive product innovation, manage cross‑functional engineering teams, collaborate with OEM customers, and ensure successful product commercialization while meeting quality, cost, performance, and regulatory requirements.

Role and Responsibilities:

1. Financial Accounting & Financial Statement Preparation

• Responsible for end‑to‑end accounting activities and accuracy of books of accounts.


• Review and finalisation of Trial Balance, Profit & Loss Account and Balance Sheet.


• Prepare periodic financial statements and ensure completeness and accuracy of financial records.


• Perform account scrutiny, reconciliations and closure of open accounting items.


• Coordinate for year‑end financial closing and support financial audits.

2. Monthly Closing

• Lead the monthly financial closing process and ensure timely completion.


• Review provisions, accruals, prepaid expenses, revenue/expense recognition and other closing entries.


• Monitor closing activities across relevant functions and resolve accounting issues.


• Perform monthly Balance Sheet account reconciliations and variance reviews.

3. MIS & Management Reporting

• Prepare monthly MIS and financial performance reports for management.


• Analyze actual performance against budget, forecast and previous periods.


• Identify and explain major financial variances.


• Provide management with actionable financial insights for decision‑making.

4. Group Reporting & German GAAP

• Responsible for periodic Group Reporting under German GAAP.


• Ensure timely and accurate submission of group reporting requirements.


• Perform reconciliation between local books and group reporting.


• Coordinate with corporate/group finance teams for reporting requirements and financial queries.

5. Accounts Payable

• Oversee Accounts Payable activities and ensure correct accounting of vendor invoices.


• Monitor vendor advances, ageing, open items and timely settlements.


• Ensure proper reconciliation of vendor accounts.


• Monitor payment‑related controls and adherence to approval processes.

6. Accounts Receivable

• Monitor Accounts Receivable, customer outstanding and ageing.


• Drive timely reconciliation and settlement of customer open items.


• Coordinate with business/commercial teams for collection of overdue receivables.


• Monitor working capital impact arising from receivables.

7. Internal Controls & Compliance

• Ensure effective Internal Financial Controls across finance processes.


• Review adherence to policies, authorisation matrix and accounting controls.


• Identify control gaps and drive corrective/preventive actions.


• Support internal, statutory and group audits and ensure timely closure of audit observations.

8. Cash Flow & ONCF Monitoring

• Monitor Operating Net Cash Flow (ONCF) and key cash flow drivers.


• Track receivables, payables, inventory and other working capital components impacting cash flow.


• Identify opportunities to improve cash conversion and working capital.


• Prepare periodic cash flow analysis and management updates.

9. ROS / Profitability Improvement

• Drive and monitor Return on Sales (ROS) improvement initiatives.


• Analyze major cost and profitability drivers.


• Work with business/operations teams to identify opportunities for margin and profitability improvement.


• Track financial impact of cost‑saving and performance‑improvement initiatives.

10. Plant‑wise Profitability

• Prepare and analyse plant‑wise profitability.


• Monitor revenue, material cost, operational costs, overheads and margins across plants.


• Identify major profitability gaps and provide analysis to management.


• Partner with plant/business teams on actions to improve financial performance.
