Qualifications

• Minimum 8–10 years of experience in accounting and operations accounting.
• Qualified inter Chartered Accountant or commerce degree with relevant background.
• Strong knowledge of ERP systems and financial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Handling new code creation requests for customers and vendors after checking approval and documentation.
• Maintaining track of TDS exemptions and certificates submitted by vendors.
• Coordinating with operations for pending invoices and sending weekly accrual reports.
• Tracking income accruals and ensuring timely month-end closures.
• Verifying profitability and comparing with sales quotes.
• Reconciliation of vendor GLs and journal entries for month-end closing.
• Prepare accounts payable ageing reports and ensure timely payables review.
• Ensure monthly closing checklist is completed before closing.

Job description

• Handling new code creation requests for customers and vendors after checking approval and documentation.
• Maintaining track of lower rate/nil rate TDS exemption certificate with their threshold limit submitted by vendors and TDS
• Coordinating with operations team for pending invoices and sending weekly report for pending accruals.
• Keep a track on income accruals which are open beyond standard days.
• Verifying job profitability and compare with sales quote.
• Reconciliation of vendor GL’s periodically
• Journal entries for month end closing (for operational and expense provisions etc.)
• Prepare Accounts Payable ageing report with reason for aged outstanding for review.
• Ensure that monthly closing checklist has been fully checked before monthly closing process starts.

Intercompany & Agents Reconciliation and Settlement:

• Processing of overseas vendor invoices; posting invoices, withholding TDS appropriately
• Executing overseas bank remittances and resolve the query received from bank.
• Intercompany Accounts reconciliation, and balance confirmation on monthly basis.
• Co-ordinating with operation and resolving query received from intercompany offices on EDI invoices.
• Follow up with agents for receivables on regular intervals and ensure timely collection of the same.

Reporting, Audit & MIS:

• Prepare and release monthly MIS reports from ERP/new software and books within 7 days of month-end closure

• Ensure accurate financial reporting, reconciliations and documentation readiness for audits
• Support management with ad-hoc financial analysis, reports and strategic assignments

Educational background / Work experience:

• Min 8-10 Yrs with industry and operational accounting knowledge
• Inter C. A., Bachelor in Commerce

Language Skills

• Fluent in English (other languages depending on the location)
• MS Office skills and good knowledge regarding IT systems
• Sound knowledge of ERP’s such as SAP ERP S4 Hana, etc.
