Job summary

Forbes & Company is seeking an Assistant Manager Finance in Maharashtra to oversee financial reporting, statutory compliance, and controls. You will support closing activities, inventory accounting, audits, MIS reporting, budgeting, and SAP S/4HANA operations to ensure accuracy and efficiency.

The candidate should be a Chartered Accountant with 3+ years post-qualification experience in Finance & Accounts, preferably in manufacturing, and hands-on SAP experience.

Qualifications

• CA qualification mandatory.
• 3+ years post-qualification experience in Finance & Accounts.
• Experience in SAP S/4HANA or similar ERP system preferred.
• Experience in Ind AS reporting, inventory accounting, statutory audits, taxation, and financial controls.

Responsibilities

• Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, accounting, statutory compliance, and financial controls.
• Support financial closing, MIS reporting, budgeting, and SAP S/4HANA operations to ensure financial accuracy and compliance.

Reports To: Senior Manager Finance / Head - Finance

Job Purpose

To ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, accounting, statutory compliance, and financial controls in accordance with applicable accounting standards and regulatory requirements. The role will support financial closing, inventory accounting, audit coordination, MIS reporting, budgeting, and SAP S/4HANA operations to ensure financial accuracy, compliance, and operational efficiency.

Key Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of Ind AS, financial reporting, and accounting principles.
• Working knowledge of GST, Income Tax, TDS, and Companies Act compliance.
• Experience in financial closing, reconciliations, audit coordination, and inventory accounting.
• Proficiency in SAP S/4HANA, particularly General Ledger and financial reporting processes.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and numerical skills.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and preparation of financial MIS reports.
• Attention to detail, planning, coordination, and time management.
• Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.

Qualification & Experience

• Qualification: Chartered Accountant (CA) - mandatory.
• Experience: 3 + Years - Relevant post-qualification experience in Finance & Accounts, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial organisation.
• Systems Knowledge: Hands-on experience in SAP S/4HANA or a comparable ERP system preferred.
• Additional Preference: Experience in Ind AS reporting, inventory accounting, statutory audits, taxation, and financial controls.
