Job summary

Cushman & Wakefield is seeking an Assistant Manager - EHS to develop and implement health and safety plans, enforce policies, and evaluate practices for legal compliance. You will train staff, monitor safety, investigate incidents, and communicate guidelines to employees to maintain a safe workplace.

The role requires 4–7 years in construction safety management, strong communication, data analysis, and policy development skills.

Qualifications

  • 4 to 7 years of experience in construction safety management

  • Ensure safety inductions and processes are followed at site
  • Ensure proper documentation for safety compliance from stakeholders
  • Develop and execute health and safety plans per legal guidelines
  • Prepare and enforce policies to establish a safety culture
  • Evaluate practices to assess risk and compliance
  • Conduct training and presentations on health and safety
  • Monitor compliance by inspecting employees and operations
  • Inspect equipment for unsafe conditions
  • Investigate accidents to find causes and address workers' claims
  • Recommend improvement measures

Job Description Summary

This role is responsible for developing and implementing health and safety plans, enforcing policies, and evaluating practices and facilities to ensure compliance with legal guidelines. They conduct training sessions, monitor compliance, investigate accidents, and provide recommendations for improvement. They also communicate guidelines to employees, report on health and safety issues, and develop relevant policies to maintain a safe workplace. Their focus is on promoting occupational health and safety and minimizing risks for employees.

About the Role:
  • Prepare and maintain detailed project Safety Plan aligned with the overall project goals.
  • Generate Reports highlighting the safety observations and action taken to control the safety parameters.
  • Define the Safe Working Area for all the work force engaged at site.
  • Develop a detailed site logistic Plan for the project.
  • Ensure that all the safety inductions and process are followed at site.
  • Ensure proper documentation for safety compliance from all the stakeholders
  • Develop and execute health and safety plans in the workplace according to legal guidelines
  • Prepare and enforce policies to establish a culture of health and safety
  • Evaluate practices, procedures and facilities to assess risk and adherence to the law
  • Conduct training and presentations for health and safety matters and accident prevention
  • Monitor compliance to policies and laws by inspecting employees and operations
  • Inspect equipment and machinery to observe possible unsafe conditions
  • Investigate accidents or incidents to discover causesand handle worker’s compensation claims
  • Recommend solutions to issues, improvement opportunities or new prevention measures
  • Report on health and safety awareness, issues and statistics
About You:
  • Required minimum 4 to 7 years of experience related to construction safety management
  • Deep understanding of legal health and safety guidelines
  • Ability in producing reports and developing relevant policies
  • Good knowledge of data analysis and risk assessment
  • Excellent organizational and motivational skills
  • Outstanding attention to detail and observation ability
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities
  • BSc/ safety management or relevant field is preferred
  • Valid qualification in occupational health and safety
