Job summary

  • BE Electrical/Mechanical Engineering with 5–8 years of experience.

  • Experience in risk assessment, incident investigation and corrective actions.
  • Familiarity with safety audits, permits, site inspections and safety management plans.

Responsibilities

Job Description Summary

This role is responsible for supporting the implementation and oversight of Environment, Health & Safety practices across project sites operations. The role ensures compliance with EHS regulations, company policies, and industry standards while promoting a safe and secure work environment. Key responsibilities include risk assessment, contractor safety management, safety training, and continuous site monitoring. The position proactively identifies hazards, enforces corrective measures, and fosters a safety-first culture to protect personnel, project assets, and the client’s investment.

About the Role:
  • Identifying hazards, complete risk assessments and apply control measures to prevent harm;
  • Implementing safety and health management plans, safe systems of work and conduct monitoring to verify compliance;
  • Ensuring Contractors work to the conditions of engagement, prepare and implement the necessary safe work plans and practices applicable to their work
  • Utilising suitably competent personnel to achieve performance requirements and commitments;
  • Training vendors to meet safety and health responsibilities, gain levels of competency, achieve compliance with legislative requirements, and meet safety standards for tasks performed;
  • Communicating and consult with employees on this policy and in the development, implementation and promotion of safe systems of work
  • Regularly reviewing contingency and emergency preparedness to ensure timely action
  • Coordinates with design and project management teams to integrate safety in planning and execution stages.
  • Ensures proper implementation of environmental management practices including waste disposal, pollution control, and sustainability compliance.
  • Liaises with statutory bodies and local authorities for safety audits, fire NOCs, and environmental clearances as required.
  • Drives continuous improvement through periodic EHS performance reviews.
About You:
  • B.E BE Electrical/Mechanical Engineering with 5 to 8 years of experience
  • Experience in Residential, Commercial, hospitality & Institutional or large-scale construction projects.
  • Technical awareness of civil, electro-mechanical, and architectural works
  • Knowledge of EHS regulations, standards, and compliance (e.g., OSHA, Factory Acts, local environmental laws).
  • Experience in risk assessment, incident investigation, and corrective action implementation.
  • Ability to develop and deliver safety training programs.
  • Familiarity with safety audits, permits, and site inspections.
  • Certifications like NEBOSH, IOSH, or ISO 45001 (if any).
