Job summary

Cushman & Wakefield is seeking an Assistant Manager - EHS to lead on-site health, safety, and environmental initiatives across our North region projects. The role focuses on developing and enforcing robust safety plans, audits, and training to minimize risk and ensure regulatory compliance.

The candidate will review contractor plans, implement PTW systems, and drive a strong safety culture through regular inspections, reporting, and collaboration with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Engineering Degree in relevant field.
• NEBOSH IGC, OHSAS 30 Hours, IOSH Managing Safely certifications.
• 8+ years of on-site EHS management experience.

Responsibilities

• Review and approve HSE Plans, Manuals, Emergency Rescue Plans, and Evacuation Plans submitted by contractors.
• Conduct task-based safety training for site line managers and workers.
• Conduct HRA audits and generate reports with corrective and remedial measures.
• Guide and ensure implementation of the BOCW Act 1998 by vendors.
• Implement Permit to Work (PTW) systems.
• Review and approve JSA, HIRA, and SWMS documents submitted by vendors.
• Conduct daily site safety inspections and audits and issue reports with corrective actions.
• Generate NCNs (Non-Compliance Notices) and penalties for major safety violations and long-pending non-compliances.
• Conduct safety induction programs for new employees.
• Evaluate HSE resources at site as per contractual requirements and assess competency.
• Record Near Miss and First Aid incidents, conduct RCA/CAPA analysis, and share reports with stakeholders.
• Develop and promote a strong safety culture to achieve the goal of Zero Harm.
• Conduct safety orientations and inspections to improve awareness and sustain a positive safety culture.
• Conduct weekly HSE walkthroughs and organize weekly and monthly HSE meetings with stakeholders.
• Prepare and share EHS reports with clients and internal management.
