Job summary

Mahindra and Mahindra Limited [Automotive and Farm Equipment Business] is seeking an HSE professional to support the development and implementation of SHE systems in a large-scale manufacturing environment.

You will assist in risk assessment, incident investigations, and drive a safety culture on the shop floor while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and client requirements. A background in safety engineering and relevant qualifications is preferred.

Qualifications

• B.Tech degree in Safety or related engineering field.
• 3–5 years of experience in large-scale manufacturing and chemical industries.
• Knowledge of OHSAS 18001 and ISO 14001 is preferred.
• Ability to conduct risk assessments and safety audits.

Responsibilities

• Assist in development of Health, Safety and Environment systems to meet OHSAS 18001 and ISO 14001 requirements.
• Assist with implementation of the HSE Strategy on the project.
• Identify and mitigate risks associated with work.
• Ensure compliance with all statutory and client safety regulations.
• Undertake safety inspections and audits.
• Incident investigation and root cause analysis of accidents/incidents; educate employees on SHE guidelines and foster safety culture.
• Enforce SHE guidelines on the shop floor and ensure compliance.
• Encourage employees to report unsafe observations and near misses.
• Contribute to sustainability targets for reductions in energy, water and waste.
• Ensure Permit to Work (PTW) is followed for maintenance and production work.
• Conduct risk assessments of all processes with the team.
• Ensure Management of Change is followed for all changes.
• Prepare Safety Operating Procedures; identify and prevent hazards.
• Documentation and records management for safety operations procedures.
• Calculate and maintain statistics related to safety parameters.

Responsibilities & Key Deliverables
