Job summary

Zodiac Energy in Gujarat, India seeks an experienced electrical design engineer to lead the complete electrical design and engineering of kWGW scale solar PV plants (ground-mounted & rooftop).

You will design DC and AC systems, select components like inverters and transformers, prepare SLDs, ensure IS/IEC compliance, and coordinate with DISCOM and project teams.

Qualifications

• 6–8 years of relevant experience in Solar EPC industry.
• Experience in utility-scale projects preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
• Good communication and coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Complete electrical design & engineering of kWGW scale solar PV plants (Ground-mounted & Rooftop).
• DC system design: string sizing, DC cable selection, voltage drop & loss calculations.
• AC system design: inverter selection, LT/HT panel sizing, transformer sizing, AC cable calculations.
• Design of 11kV / 33kV / 66kV / 132kV systems.
• HT line loss calculation & conductor selection.
• Substation design & Single Line Diagram (SLD) preparation.
• Protection coordination & grid synchronization design.
• Preparation of BOQ, technical specifications & design documentation.
• Ensure compliance with IS / IEC standards & grid regulations.
• Coordination with DISCOM & project execution teams.
