Job summary

Harsha Constructions requires a Deputy Project Manager for a HAM road project at the project site. The role demands 10–15 years in road/highway construction, with hands-on responsibilities across planning, execution, QA/QC, and coordination with NHAI, engineers, consultants and subcontractors.

You will monitor progress, ensure safety and quality standards, review drawings and BOQs, and support monthly reporting and billing. Strong project-management skills are essential.

Qualifications

• B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering is required.
• Experience in NHAI/State Highway/HAM projects preferred.
• Strong knowledge of highway construction, contracts and project management.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Project Manager in overall execution and management of the HAM road project.
• Plan, monitor and control construction activities as per drawings, specs and schedule.
• Coordinate with NHAI/Authority, Independent Engineer, consultants, subcontractors and vendors.
• Ensure timely completion of earthwork, GSB, WMM, DBM, BC, structures, drainage and other highway works.
• Monitor daily progress, manpower, machinery and material requirements.
• Ensure compliance with quality, safety and environmental standards.
• Review methods, drawings, BOQs, quantities and technical requirements.
• Coordinate with QA/QC, Planning, Billing, Survey and Execution teams.
• Monitor subcontractor performance and resolve site-level issues.
• Assist in preparing monthly progress reports, DPRs, MIS, billing and reconciliations.
• Identify delays, risks and resource constraints and take corrective action.
• Maintain proper project documentation and ensure contractual compliance.
