Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a science field relevant to food testing.
• MBA in Marketing or Sales is preferred.
• 6–8 years in business development or sales, with 3–5 years in food testing or analytical services.

Responsabilités

• Drive sales and business development for Food Analytical Testing Services.
• Identify and acquire new customers across food sectors including processing, FMCG, and hospitality.
• Promote Vimta's service portfolio: nutrients, microbiology, residues, contaminants, shelf-life, packaging, and regulatory services.
• Build and maintain relationships with existing and prospective clients.
• Lead customer meetings, technical presentations, negotiations, and contract discussions.
• Prepare techno-commercial proposals and close opportunities on time.
• Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities.
• Collaborate with lab and operations teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
• Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets with timely receivables collection.

Role Overview

We are looking for a results-driven Assistant / Deputy Manager - Business Development to drive business growth for our Food Analytical Testing Services in Ahmedabad; Indore and surrounding markets. The incumbent will be responsible for new client Ahmedabad; Indore, key account management, revenue generation, and expanding Vimta's presence across the food and allied industries.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive sales and business development activities for Food Analytical Testing Services.
• Identify and acquire new customers across Food Processing, FMCG, Retail, Hospitality, Exports, Imports, and Food Manufacturing sectors.
• Promote Vimta's service portfolio including Nutritional Analysis, Microbiological Testing, Residue Analysis, Contaminant Testing, Shelf-life Studies, Packaging Testing, and Regulatory Compliance Services.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients.
• Conduct customer meetings, technical presentations, negotiations, and contract discussions.
• Prepare techno-commercial proposals and ensure timely closure of business opportunities.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and emerging customer requirements.
• Collaborate with laboratory and operations teams to ensure seamless customer service and project execution.
• Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets while ensuring timely collection of receivables.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelors/ masters degree in food technology, Food Science, Microbiology, Biotechnology, Life Sciences, Chemistry, or related discipline.
• MBA (Marketing/Sales) preferred.
• 6-8 years of experience in Business Development/Sales, with at least 3-5 years in Food Testing, Analytical Services, Laboratory Services, TIC (Testing, Inspection & Certification), or related industries.
