RattanIndia Power Limited is seeking an experienced internal audit professional in Delhi to lead audits across the organization. The role requires qualification as CA or CA Inter and extensive experience in finance, accounting, or internal audit within power or related sectors.

The candidate should be adept at evaluating controls, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving process improvements across procurement, HR, and operations. Willingness to travel to plants is expected.

Responsibilities

• Conduct concurrent and pre-payment audits of expenses (supply bills, AMC/contractor bills, coal/fuel bills).
• Execute internal audits across Procurement, HR, Stores, Maintenance, Security, Production, and other operations.
• Perform contract closure audits, vendor assessments, and onboarding documentation audits.

Educational Qualification

• Chartered Accountant (CA) or CA Inter.

Experience

• 38 years of experience in Internal Audit, Accounting, or Finance.
• Experience in the Power, Infrastructure, Engineering, Manufacturing, or Big 4 sector is preferred.

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Word.
• Knowledge of SAP/ERP systems is desirable.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, internal controls, and statutory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct concurrent and pre-payment audits of expenses, including supply bills, AMC/contractor bills, and coal/fuel supply bills.
• Execute internal audits across Procurement, HR, Stores, Maintenance, Security, Production, and other operational functions.
• Perform contract closure audits, vendor assessments, and employee onboarding documentation audits.
• Conduct financial, operational, and compliance audits as per the annual audit plan.
• Review supporting documents, verify transactions, and identify discrepancies, control gaps, and compliance risks.
• Develop and review Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and recommend process improvements.
• Recommend corrective and preventive actions to strengthen internal controls and ensure compliance with company policies and contractual terms.
• Coordinate with departments to discuss audit observations, obtain management responses, and track closure of audit points.
• Prepare audit plans, checklists, working papers, MIS, audit reports, and periodic status updates.
• Maintain proper audit documentation and ensure timely submission of reports.
