Job summary

Runwal Group in Mumbai seeks an experienced MEP cost estimator to manage quantity take-off, costing and budgeting for large residential and commercial projects.

You will prepare concept to pre-tender budgets from drawings, review BOQs, and coordinate with clients, contractors and vendors to justify costs and support value engineering.

This role emphasizes cost control to keep projects within approved budgets.

Qualifications

• MEP quantity take-off, costing and budgeting experience.
• Ability to prepare concept to pre-tender budgets from drawings.
• Experience in preparing and reviewing BOQs from drawings.
• Proficient in tendering, rate analysis and quotation evaluation.
• Capability to justify technical and commercial quotations.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for MEP quantity take-off, costing, and budgeting for projects.
• Prepare concept, schematic, and design-stage budgets, CTCs, and pre-tender estimates from drawings.
• Prepare and review BOQs by deriving quantities from drawings.
• Manage tendering, quotation evaluation, rate analysis, and comparison statements.
• Analyze contractor quotations and provide technical and commercial justifications.
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, architects, consultants, and vendors on cost matters.
• Support value engineering and cost optimization while ensuring quality and material availability.
• Handle post-contract activities (JMRs, COPs, variations, reconciliations, cost recommendations).
• Monitor project costs and provide cost control inputs to stay within budget.
