Job summary

Flextronics - The Flex Company in Chennai is seeking an Asst Manager – Accounts Receivable to lead the AR team and drive cash collections in a fast-paced, process-driven environment.

The role requires 6–8 years in Finance & Accounting with at least 4+ years in BPO AR processes, managing 15+ team members, and strong MS Office skills. You will operate with minimal supervision and contribute to continuous improvements.

Qualifications

• Hands-on AR experience and solid accounting knowledge.
• Ability to guide and measure a team’s performance.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Guide and develop AR team, ensuring performance targets.
• Handle escalations from stakeholders and mentor the team.
• Conduct monthly stakeholder meetings to review business metrics.
• Drive KPI metrics: cash collections, forecast vs. actuals, and cost control.
• Identify process improvements to eliminate non-value activities.

Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we are looking to add Asst Manager – Accounts Receivable based in Chennai location

What a typical day looks like:

• People Management – Guiding, Helping and measuring their performance
• Periodic Discussion with Team members to share feedback
• Handling Escalations from all stake holders and sharing the art of learning to team members.
• Monthly Meeting with Stakeholders to share the Business Metrics and understand the expectations from the site customers
• Help & Drive team on all the KPI’s metrics, Cash collections, forecast v actuals and sustain the results
• Contribute to the process by providing ideas, finding out the opportunities to eliminate nonvalue activities for process improvement

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:

• B.com / BBA(Finance) / M. Com / MBA(Finance).
• Good understanding of MS applications (Basic level).
• Candidates with 6 - 8 years of experience in Finance & Accounting field out of which minimum of 4+ year’s exposure in Finance & Accounting processes in BPO industry with experience in handling a team of 15+ members for at least 2 years.
• Hands-on experience in AR function with a strong knowledge of accounting principles.
• Ability to operate independently and work toward goals and deliverables with little day to day supervision
• Ability to manage processes and projects, implementing continuous improvements.
• Understanding of global roles and responsibilities - ability to determine who to escalate issues to.
• Excellent written & oral communication skills.
• Good Problem-solving skills.
• Ability to multi-task & high level of attention to detail.
• Good Knowledge in MS Office Package.
• Willingness to work in complex environment with strict deadlines on project
