Job summary

Aptiv in India is seeking a technology-driven professional to translate customer requirements into robust electrical connector portfolios. You will leverage experience in the connector or automotive wiring harness industry to develop BOMs, benchmark components, and explore alternative solutions.

The role requires global collaboration, strong English communication, and a passion for technology. You will work independently and with cross-functional teams to drive results in a fast-paced mobility

Qualifications

• Technical understanding of customer requirements and specifications.
• Experience in connector or automotive wiring harness industry.
• Ability to prepare component BOMs and propose alternate solutions.
• Familiarity with benchmarking and VAVE idea generation.
• Basic understanding of connector manufacturing: molding, assembly, plating.
• Willingness to work in a global environment across geographies.
• Strong English communication, both written and spoken.
• Passion for technology and results-oriented mindset.
• Strong problem-solving and clear communication.

Job description

Major Accountabilities:

• Technical competency to understand customer requirements and technical specifications


• Experience in connector industry or automotive wiring harness industry


• Working knowledge in preparing component Bill of Material & providing alternate solutions


• Should be aware of component benchmarking & VAVE idea generation


• Basic understanding on connector manufacturing process like Molding, assembly & plating


• Ability to work in a global environment and collaborate with individuals across multiple geographies


• Study on new technology products in the market & suggest potential portfolio additions


• Able to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team


• Basic understanding of the interdependencies of Sales, Engineering & Operations functions


• Fluent in English with excellent verbal & written communication skills
