Job summary

ENGIE Energy India Private Limited in Pune invites applications for the role of Assistant Manager - Accounting. This permanent, full-time position reports to the Manager Accounting & Head Of Accounting in the Renewables unit.

The ideal candidate is a Chartered Accountant with 2–3 years of general accounting and tax compliance experience, proficient in Indian Accounting Standards and IFRS, and skilled in SAP-B1 and MS Office. Strong communication and ownership are essential.

Qualifications

• CA with 2–3 years of experience in general accounting & tax compliance.
• Strong knowledge of Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS) and IFRS.
• Experience with SAP-B1 software and MS Office.
• Excellent communication and ownership oriented mindset.

Responsibilities

• Close monthly, quarterly, and annual books in line with Indian Accounting Standards & IFRS.
• Manage supplier and customer invoices in books of accounts.
• Prepare monthly management accounts and variance analyses.
• Support audits and respond to auditor inquiries.
• Ensure compliance with financial policies and regulations.

Key activities and competencies

• Closure of Accounts : Ensure timely and accurate closure of monthly, quarterly, and annual in line account with Indian Accounting Standards & IFRS.
• Invoice Management : Keep supplier and customer invoices up to date in the books of legal entities.
• Financial Analysis : Analyze complex financial reports and produce compliant financial statements.
• Report Preparation : Prepare monthly management accounts, variance analyses, bank reconciliations, vendor and customer reconciliations, and inter-company reconciliations.
• Audit Support : Assist in the preparation for annual audits and respond to internal and external auditor inquiries.
• Compliance : Ensure compliance with the companys financial policies, rules, and regulations.
• Process Improvement : Suggest and implement improvements in accounting and reporting processes.
• Budget Preparation : Support in budget preparation and cash flow forecasting.
• ERP Implementation : Undertake activities assigned to the Accounting Team for the SAP B1 Engie or other new ERP implementation.

Tax Compliance Key relationships

• Internal : Accounting Team, employees, internal auditors.
• External : Suppliers, customers, external auditors.

Required Qualifications

• Degree : Chartered Accountant (CA) with 2-3 years of experience.
• Experience : More than 2 years of general accounting & Tax Compliance experience, preferably in a Big4 public accounting firm or a multinational corporate environment.
• Technical Skills : Strong knowledge of Indian Accounting Standards and IFRS, SAP -B1 software.
• Computer Skills : Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Ability to prepare, analyse and interpret financial information
• Communication: high communication and interpersonal skills
• Ownership Result oriented
