ACME Cleantech is looking for an experienced and strategic General Manager – Accounts to lead the organization’s accounting and financial control functions. The ideal candidate will be a qualified CA with 18+ years of relevant experience, strong expertise in financial reporting, taxation, audits, compliance, working capital management, and team leadership.
The role requires a hands‑on finance professional who can strengthen financial controls, ensure statutory compliance, drive process improvements, and provide accurate financial insights to support business decision-making.
Lead the overall Accounts and Finance operations, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance.
Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing and reporting.
Ensure compliance with applicable Ind AS, Companies Act, GST, Income Tax, TDS, and other statutory requirements.
Manage statutory audits, internal audits, tax audits, and coordination with external consultants and auditors.
Drive effective cash flow, working capital, receivables, payables, and treasury management.
Establish and strengthen internal financial controls, accounting policies, and SOPs.
Review and monitor MIS, budgets, forecasts, variance analysis, and management reports.
Partner with business and operational teams to improve cost control and profitability.
Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, fixed assets, reconciliations, and inter‑company accounting.
Ensure timely and accurate GST, TDS, income‑tax, and other regulatory filings.
Identify opportunities for automation, digitization, and process improvement across finance and accounting.
Lead, mentor, and develop the finance and accounts team.
Support senior management in financial planning, business decisions, risk management, and strategic initiatives.
Ensure robust documentation and audit readiness across financial processes.
CA qualification is mandatory.
18+ years of overall experience in Finance & Accounts, preferably with substantial experience in a managerial/senior leadership role.
Strong experience in financial accounting, reporting, taxation, audit, compliance, and controllership.
Experience managing and developing finance teams.
Strong understanding of ERP/accounting systems and financial process automation.
Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making abilities.
Strong communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
High level of integrity, ownership, and attention to detail.
Experience in the cleantech, renewable energy, manufacturing, infrastructure, or project‑based industry would be an advantage.
Timely and accurate financial reporting and month‑end closure.
Strong statutory and regulatory compliance.
