Assistant Manager – Accounts and Finance
We are looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Senior Accounts Executive / Assistant Manager to support our accounting team in day-to-day financial operations. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of accounting principles, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end accounting operations including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, and Bank Reconciliations.
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Perform intercompany reconciliations and ensure accurate recording of related party transactions across India, Canada, and USA entities.
- Assist in preparation of budgets, cash flow forecasts, and variance analysis.
- Oversee payroll accounting, employee reimbursements, and expense accruals.
- Support statutory and external audits, ensuring timely completion and compliance with internal and external requirements.
- Ensure adherence to U.S. accounting standards (U.S. GAAP), tax regulations, and corporate financial policies.
- Implement and maintain effective internal controls, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in accounting processes.
- Collaborate with cross-border finance teams (India and Canada) for consolidation and management reporting.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or equivalent certification preferred but not mandatory).
- Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience in accounting, preferably in logistics, freight forwarding, or service-based industries.
- Good to have additional knowledge of U.S. GAAP and inter-company accounting.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and financial data analysis skills.
- Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a multi-entity environment.
