Job summary

JK Tyre & Industries Ltd. in India seeks a Mechanical Engineer to lead a shift team, drive preventive maintenance, and improve equipment reliability. You will train team members, monitor utilities, and ensure safe operations.

Responsibilities include predictive and preventive maintenance, logging shift activities, reducing scrap due to utility issues, and coordinating with seniors to meet customer expectations. A degree in mechanical engineering is required.

Responsibilities

• Manning of shift crew and follow up on pending work from previous shift.
• Ensure no leakages (water, air, steam, oil) and act to rectify.
• Assist head utility in various utility area tasks as required.
• Control coal unburnt at boiler and monitor water parameters; knowledge of water chemistry.
• Oversee DM plant/Boiler/CT/drinking operations and maintain safe operation.
• Routine monitoring of Compressor, Chiller, Hot water areas, Cooling Tower pumps.
• Maintain log books with shift activities; prepare shift end reports for seniors.
• Implement energy and water conservation programs in shift and review break downs.
• Participate in Quality Circles, KAIZEN, and 5S activities.

Responsibilities

• Manning of shift crew
• Follow up pending work of previous shift
• Ensure no any leakages like water, Air, steam ,oil if found take immediate action to rectification
• Assist head utility for various jobs as required time to time FOR Utility area.
• Control coal unburnt at boiler and watch water parameter ,knowledge of water chemistry regarding
• DM plant/Boiler/CT/drinking
• Routine monitoring of Compressor, Chiller, Hot water areas, Cooling Tower pumps ,
• Boilers, coal plant, trench & TCU's etc.
• Mention all shift activity in log book clearly
• Shift end report to seniors

Safety & house keeping

• Insuring safe work at work place every time
• Compliance of safety audit finding
• Ensure good housekeeping as per given responsibility in the KRA

Principal Responsibility-

• Predictive Maintenance and pro-active maintenance in shift activity.
• Implementation and monitoring of Preventive Maintenance, Planned Maintenance,

ASSET CARE

• Implementation of all Energy and water conservation Programs in shift.
• Review of Break Downs with corrective actions in shift.
• Review of Equipment Status with Performance and History in shift
• Maintaining of all Utility Services in shift
