Inchcape Shipping Services in Chennai (Guindy) is seeking an Assistant Manager Accounts Receivable to lead a collections team and drive cash improvement across the Onecape business stream. The role involves engaging with internal and external stakeholders to optimize end-to-end cash processes.

You will oversee KPI achievement, coach staff, and implement new processes for prefunding and efficiency while building strong customer relationships and ensuring compliance with policies.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of team-management experience.
• Previous AR collections experience.
• Effective time management.
• Dynamic to organizational changes and ability to pivot between customer requirements.

Title : Assistant Manager - Accounts Receivables

Job Purpose :

We have an exciting opportunity for a Assistant Manager Accounts Receivable in our team. This role is pivotal in leading and developing a team who are performing collections, analytics, and dispute resolution for the Onecape business stream. This will require engagement and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to drive cash improvement within the business.

What youll do:

• Independently manage and drive collections to meet set KPI’s
• Ensure cash application and bank reconciliation tasks are completed within agreed SLA’s
• Manage, coach, and develop direct reports and play significant role in career development of the team
• Implement and manage handover of new process of prefunding chasing fro operational depts to drive efficiency and accountability of end to end cash process
• Is expected to perform autonomously, initiate and manage complex cross functional tasks, manage workload and establish priorities.
• Is expected to set policies and procedures, maintain compliance and implement best practices.
• Engage in performance management to ensure each collector maintains relevant skill level to perform role
• Drive Collections Strategy, improve efficiency and implement tools and automations. Direct and control operational activities and ensure alignment with organizational process, strategies, and methodologies
• Exploring upstream and downstream improvement opportunities by working with business partners, identifying root cause analysis and build long term solutions
• Manage and improve dispute handling to have a positive impact on cash
• Work in partnership with relevant stakeholders to ensure collections activities are occurring in accordance with agreed KPI’s.
• Build long-term customer relationships to improve collection cycle.

• Demonstrate ability to meet deadlines while managing BAU and other initiatives.

• A strong individual with good communication skills believing in engagement and building stakeholder relationships
• Team-management experience (5 + years)
