Job summary

STMicroelectronics in Bengaluru seeks an Industrial/Mechanical/Electrical technician (AME) to support upkeep production tools on the shop floor. The role collaborates with process engineers, maintenance, and quality teams to ensure safe, efficient, high-quality manufacturing operations.

You will perform routine and preventive maintenance, operate and monitor equipment, calibrate, troubleshoot, and repair semiconductor equipment, and maintain thorough documentation to uphold safety and quality

Qualifications

• Must have hands-on maintenance experience in manufacturing environments.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
• Strong problem-solving and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance: Perform routine and preventive maintenance on machines to ensure reliable performance.
• System operation: Operate and monitor equipment to ensure optimal function.
• Calibrate, maintain, and repair semiconductor equipment.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair equipment issues on the shop floor.
• Install and configure semiconductor equipment as needed.
• Conduct tests to ensure equipment functions correctly.

YOUR ROLE

AME is responsible for upkeep production tools to ensure safe, efficient, and high‑quality manufacturing. This role works closely with Process engineers, maintenance, and quality teams to support daily operations on the shop floor.

Job scope involving:

• Maintenance: Perform routine and preventive maintenance on machine to ensure reliable performance.


• System operation: Operate and monitor equipment and system to ensure they are function optimally.


• Calibrate, maintain, and repair electronic semiconductor equipment


• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair issues with semiconductor equipment


• Install and configure semiconductor equipment


• Conduct tests to ensure equipment is functioning correctly


• Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical drawing


• Safety and compliance: Follow safety procedure and regulations and ensure all work meets quality standard.


• Documentation: Keep detail record of all service performed


• Good problem solving and troubleshooting skills

YOUR SKILLS & EXPERIENCES

• Technical diploma or associate degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Technology (or equivalent).


• High school diploma with substantial relevant experience may be considered.
