Job summary

ANDRITZ is seeking a Site Manager [SR/LH] for international hydro project sites. Based on site, you will lead expats, site supervisors, QC engineers, stores team and contractors to ensure safe, on-time execution of installation, erection and commissioning.

You will coordinate with HoD and project team, prepare reports, manage procurement, budgets and daily site activities while upholding health, safety and environmental practices.

Qualifications

• 25+ years in project execution, erection, testing and commissioning of hydro plants.
• At least 4 LH projects (>100MW) or 6 SR projects as Site Manager.

Responsibilities

• Represent the project at site to customers and international consultants.
• Plan, erect and commission large hydro power plant facilities at site.
• Coordinate site work, meetings, and reporting to PM/SI Team Leader.
• Manage site personnel including expats, supervisors and contractors.
• Oversee health, safety and environmental practices per EHS standards.
• Prepare installation reports, logs, and weekly/monthly progress documents.
• Handle site procurement and material services with the project manager.
• Monitor schedules, costs, quality, and NCR resolution.
• Ensure site risk management and interface/quality assurance.

JOB DESCRIPTION: SITE MANAGER [SR&LH] for International Project Sites.

Reporting to

Functionally to HoD (SI) and operationally to Project team during the execution of the project.

Role:

The Site Manager is responsible for the Site-Planning, Erection & Commissioning activities of Large Hydro Power Plant. He is based at site, leading the Expats, Site supervisors, QC Engineers, Stores team and various contractors for successful execution of Site Works.

Main Tasks:

• Representation of the project at site to the Customer and his International Consultants
• Site Mobilization and Establishment of Accommodation , infrastructure , offices, and stores etc.
• Controlling of all installation and commissioning activities in respect of technical performance, quality, cost and time schedule and corrective measures in case of deviations
• Co-ordination of site work. Calling of regular site meetings (minutes of meetings required) and reporting to the Project Manager /SI Team Leader.
• Site management and coordination of site personnel (Expats, supervisor/installation company)
• Management of health, safety and environmental aspects. As per EHS practices, Stop the process, set off the alarm, protect the workplace, seek help, first aid through safety member. HIRA, POWRA.
• Preparation of Installation reports, site logbook, weekly / monthly reports , meeting protocols, test protocols, records for claims and control on QC documentation
• Handling monthly site cash and timely submission of accounts.
• Procurement of site materials and services in coordination with the project manager (refer signature regulation (P HIN 01 03 01 -1)
• Coordination with home office and on shore manager in respect of local transports (crane availability, storage yard, etc)
• Allotment of work for site / sub supplier staff & review the progress.
• Handling, storage, preservation, administration of tools, materials, limited storable materials, and dangerous substances, prompt checking, marking of the product to prevent unintended use E.g. sticker.
• Planning and execution of Installation instructions, inspection and test plans, test procedures
• Compiling NCR s, helping to resolve site non-conformities and timely reporting to the PM
• Project specific Health and Safety and Environmental Plan Health and Safety meetings, instructions and toolbox talks, inspections through nominated safety member.
• Analysis of the reasons for the deviation , accident, or incident. Definition and implementation of preventive measures and instruction of personnel, NCR or accident /incident report.
• Claim identification form to be issued and sent to the CPM and PM
• Support during commissioning according to R HY EX60 01 Commissioning report.
• Final protocol and punch point controlling.
• Comparison planned vs. actual schedule and costs , nonconformities, accident statistic, environmental incidents, experiences, and improvement potentials for further projects.
• Input for the final project meeting & Final report installation.

Authorities:

• Sanction leave of his subordinates at site as per procedure.
• Release the person from site in consultation with SI (TL) & PM
• Site manager can appoint third party for manpower supply in consultation with HR dept. /SI-TL
• Administrative work e.g. Site Accommodation, Guest House, Vehicle hire for site works (also visitors), Attendance & OT Reports.

Competencies
