Job summary

La Freightlift Pvt. Ltd. is seeking a senior professional to oversee daily sea import/export operations, including FCL/LCL and related profitability analyses.

The role involves mentoring teams across operations, customer service, and documentation, and negotiating rates with liners and co-loaders. Qualifications

• 15+ years in International freight forwarding and Sea Freight
• At least 5+ years in a senior role
• Knowledge of shipping line tariff, FCL/LCL, Incoterms, customs
• Proficiency in MIS and freight management systems such as ICEGATE

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily Sea Import/Export operations for FCL & LCL
• Mentor and monitor Ops/CS and Documentation teams
• Negotiate ocean freight rates, terms and space with liners, NVOCCs and co-loaders
• Ensure compliance and documentation
• Monitor performance: costs, OTDS, demurrage, detention, profitability
• Submit financial, operational and MIS reports to GM

Job description

Role & responsibilities

• Oversee daily Sea Import export operations. Serve as FCL & LCL and also oversee Financial and Profitability viabilities.
• Knowledge of Customs activities Mentor and Monitor Ops/Customer Service and Documentation teams and field ops teams.
• Negotiate ocean freight rates, contract terms & space commitments with Shipping liners NVOCC'S and co-loaders.
• Compliance and Documentation
• Performance Tracking- Monitor OTD's Cost per shipment, container turnaround, demurrage and detention minimization and division's profitability.
• Submit financial, operational and MIS Reports to the GM

Preferred candidate profile

• 15+ Years of experience in International freight forwarding and Sea Freight with at least 5+ of experience in a senior role.
• Knowledge of Shipping line tariff, FCL/LCL Ops, Incoterms, customs regulations and CFS & ICD co-ordination.
• Proficiency in Freight management systems like ICEGATE etc & MIS.
• Strong People management skills, negotiation skills and cross functional leadership.
