The Corporate Institute in Mumbai is seeking an experienced finance professional to lead accounts, taxation, audit, compliance, MIS, ERP controls and financial reporting. You will drive accurate book closure and ensure timely regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities include coordinating with auditors, reviewing GST/TDS, managing month-end closures, delivering MIS dashboards, and supervising the accounts team to ensure timely and error-free deliverables.

Job Summary

• Lead Accounts, Taxation, Audit, Compliance, MIS, ERP controls, and financial reporting.
• Ensure accurate accounting, timely compliance, strong controls, and proper book closure.
• Coordinate with auditors, consultants, banks, internal teams, and senior management.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise accounting, reconciliations, provisions, accruals, and month/year-end closing.
• Review vendor bills, GST, TDS, approvals, budgets, and supporting documents.
• Ensure timely GST, TDS, income tax, professional tax, returns, notices, and compliance documentation.
• Provide MIS, cash flow inputs, financial data, and exception reports to management.

Audit, Compliance and Reporting

• Manage statutory audit, internal audit, tax audit, GST audit, and related requirements.
• Prepare/review audit schedules, reconciliations, tax workings, and supporting documents.
• Handle GST scrutiny, income tax notices, TDS queries, and assessment submissions.
• Prepare MIS, compliance dashboards, cost reports, and management exception reports.

ERP, Controls and Process Improvement

• Ensure proper ERP usage, approval controls, budget checks, documentation, and audit trails.
• Monitor maker-checker process, master data discipline, and system-based controls.
• Identify process gaps, accounting errors, pending items, and compliance risks.

Team Management

• Lead and review the accounts, taxation, audit support, and compliance team.
• Allocate work, monitor deadlines, guide team members, and ensure timely deliverables.
• Maintain accountability through trackers, review meetings, and closure monitoring.

Key Deliverables

• Timely book closure, reconciliations, audit schedules, and compliance support.
• Accurate MIS, project-wise financial data, cash flow inputs, and management reports.
• Closure of audit queries, compliance gaps, pending items, and accounting exceptions.
