Job summary

Dairy Classic Ice Creams in Kalaburagi, Karnataka, is seeking a Manufacturing Finance and Management Accounting professional to bridge corporate finance and plant operations, focusing on cost control and budget adherence.

You will partner with engineering and production, lead budgeting and forecasts, analyze variances, and drive cost-saving initiatives across the plant while ensuring accurate capital expenditure evaluation. The role requires strong SAP costing knowledge and BOM management.

Responsibilities

• Execute standard costing releases in SAP and verify material valuation and cost estimates.
• Review BOM structures with engineering and production teams to ensure accuracy.
• Analyze production variances by comparing Standard BOM vs. Actual consumption to identify yield losses, price variances and scrap factors.
• Collaborate with manufacturing to provide actionable operational insights and lead budgets and rolling forecasts for Opex and Capex.
• Conduct monthly budget vs. actual analyses to identify gaps and corrective actions.
• Drive cost-saving initiatives across the plant and monitor factory costs, variances and savings from efficiency programs.

Role Overview

This is a specialized Manufacturing finance and management accounting role focused entirely on manufacturing operations. The position acts as a financial bridge between corporate finance and the manufacturing team to optimize costs and maintain strict budgetary control.

Key Responsibilities

1. SAP Costing & BOM Management

• Execute standard costing releases in SAP at regular intervals, ensuring accurate material valuation and cost estimates.
• Conduct regular Bill of Materials (BOM) reviews with engineering and production teams to verify structural and quantitative accuracy.
• Track production variances by performing deep-dive analyses of Standard BOM vs. Actual consumption to isolate yield losses, price variances, and scrap factors.

2. Business Partnering & Budgeting

• Collaborate closely with the manufacturing team to provide actionable operational insights.
• Lead the preparation of annual budgets and rolling forecasts for both Opex and Capex.
• Conduct monthly variance analyses (Budget vs. Actuals) to identify gaps and corrective actions.

3. Cost Optimization & Performance Management

• Drive cost-savings initiatives across the plant to ensure overall spend remains within budget.
• Spearhead monthly reviews on factory costs, production variances, and savings accrued from efficiency programs.
• Partner with operations on manpower optimization and waste elimination projects.

4. Capex Management & Governance

• Build financial business cases for proposed plant machinery, expansions, or upgrades.
• Compute critical metrics including Internal Rate of Return (IRR), Payback Period, and ROI.
• Maintain a detailed tracker of active Capex projects for monthly executive reviews.

5. Inventory & Working Capital Control

• Oversee inventory efficiency for plant spares and manufacturing consumables.
• Minimize working capital drag by monitoring slow-moving items.
• Enforce a strict policy to flag and action unused spares sitting for more than 6 months.

6. Audit, Compliance & Systems

• Coordinate factory audits, including physical stock takes, internal controls, and fixed asset verification.
• Optimize SAP S/4HANA workflows to simplify user tasks while improving the depth of financial data reporting.
