Job summary

Texmo Industries is seeking a Mechanical/Production Engineering graduate with 4–6 years of product design and engineering change management experience to drive pumpset development from market needs to mass production.

You will apply SolidWorks for CAD, lead DFMEA activities, and coordinate across procurement and quality to optimize for cost, quality, and manufacturability on high-volume lines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering or Production Engineering with 4–6 years of experience in product design and engineering change management.
• Deep expertise in product designing with ability to optimize designs for quality and cost.
• Strong understanding of electrical aspects since the pumpset includes the motor.
• DFM / DFA: design for manufacturing and assembly, casting, machining tolerances, and high-volume assembly.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects from concept through Start of Production with cross-functional teams including Procurement and Quality.
• Ensure designs meet market requirements and mass production constraints.
• Perform DFMEA to prevent field failures and drive root-cause analysis and corrective actions.

Job description

• Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering or Production Engineering with 4 to 6 years of experience in product design and engineering change management, with strong engineering knowledge and analytical & problem-solving abilities, understanding the entire lifecycle from market requirements to mass production.
• Essential Skills
  • Design & Optimization: Deep expertise in product designing. Ability to optimize designs for maximum efficiency to meet quality and cost requirements.
  • Electrical Understanding: Strong understanding of the electrical side, as the “pumpset” includes the motor.
  • DFM / DFA: Design for Manufacturing and Assembly. Must understand casting processes, machining tolerances, and how to design for ease of assembly in a high-volume production line.
  • FMEA & Root Cause Analysis: Proficiency in Design Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (DFMEA) to prevent field failures, systematic problem solving, and root cause analyses.
  • Project Leadership: Experience in leading a project from concept through Start of Production, including managing timelines and cross-functional communication with Procurement and Quality.
  • CAD Proficiency: SolidWorks (mandatory), AutoCAD (optional)
• Desirable Skills
  • Basic CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics): Exposure to flow simulation tools like ANSYS Discovery or SolidWorks Flow Simulation to predict performance before prototyping.
  • VAVE (Value Analysis / Value Engineering): Cost reduction through design optimization without compromising quality.
  • Standards Awareness: Basic knowledge of standards for motors and pumps.
