Job summary

PAM Shirwal is seeking a Design Engineer to study existing machine designs and develop concepts using CAD tools. You will validate designs with simulation, perform tolerance analysis, and release prototype drawings with BOM under strict controls.

You will support fabrication, participate in prototype trials, and collaborate with automation and controls teams to drive design improvements.

Qualifications

• Experience in pharma industry and medical devices design preferred.
• Proficient with Solid Edge and Teamcenter for CAD and drawing management.
• Knowledge of New Product Development processes and design calculations.

Responsibilities

• Study existing machine designs, past trial data, and competitive solutions to identify improvement opportunities.
• Develop concepts, 3D models and prototype layouts using approved CAD platforms and modern design tools.
• Utilize digital tools to validate design feasibility such as simulation and motion analysis.
• Apply tolerance analysis and material selection to ensure manufacturability and reliability.
• Prepare and release prototype drawings and BOM under defined controls.
• Support fabrication and assembly of prototypes, ensuring alignment between digital and physical builds.
• Participate in prototype trials and data analysis for improvements.
• Assist in identifying root causes of mechanical issues and suggest design adjustments.
• Document trial results and design revisions in a structured format.
• Act as technical contributor and collaborate with automation and controls teams.

Primary Responsibilities

• Primary responsibilities
• Study existing machine designs, past trial data, and competitive solutions to identify improvement opportunities.
• Develop concepts ,3D models and prototype layouts using approved CAD platforms and modern design tools.
• Utilize available digital tools (simulation, motion analysis, AI-assisted design tools) to validate design feasibility.
• Apply basic tolerance analysis, engineering calculations, and material selection judgment to ensure manufacturable and reliable designs.
• Prepare and release accurate prototype drawings and BOM under defined engineering controls.
• Support fabrication and assembly of prototypes, ensuring alignment between digital design and physical build.
• Participate in prototype trials and performance validation; collect and analyze data for improvement.
• Assist in identifying root causes of mechanical issues and suggest material or design adjustments.
• Document trial results, simulation findings, and design revisions in a structured and traceable format.
• Act as technical contributor for assigned modules and collaborate with automation, controls, and digital teams during development activities.
