Job summary

AECOM in India is seeking an Assistant Engineer to join our Building Structures team. You will contribute to impactful building projects across global offices and develop your technical expertise in a supportive, high-performing environment.

The role requires a Master of Engineering in Civil Engineering and 3–6 years of experience, with strong communication and the ability to work independently. Experience with BIM and international projects is preferred.

Qualifications

  • Master of Engineering degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited college or university.
  • 3-6 years of Civil Engineering experience; Middle East/US/UK experience desirable but not essential.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work well independently at times.

Responsibilities

  • Develops technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems.
  • Experience in retail and hospitality medium to large projects.
  • Experience in UK, UAE, US, Canada, ANZ (preferred).
  • Experience in delivering projects in BIM and relevant discipline software.
  • Receives instructions on specific assignment objectives, complex features, and possible solutions.
  • Knowledgeable in building design services, applicable regulations and technical standards.
  • Capable of working on own initiative, with responsibility for assigned work.

Job Description

We are seeking a Assistant Engineer to join our Building Structures team in India. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated engineer to contribute to impactful building projects across global offices and continue developing their technical expertise in a supportive, high-performing team.

  • Develops technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems. Works under only general direction. Independently determines and develops approach to solutions.
  • Experience in retail and hospitality medium to large projects.
  • Experience in UK, UAE, US, Canada, ANZ (preferred).
  • Experience in delivering projects in BIM and relevant discipline software.
  • Receives instructions on specific assignment objectives, complex features, and possible solutions.
  • Should be knowledgeable in building design services, associated regulations and technical standards.
  • Capable of working on as own initiative, as an overall responsibility and accountability for assigned work.
Qualifications

Here’s what we’re looking for:

  • Master of Engineering degree (or equivalent education) in an appropriate engineering discipline from an accredited college or university.
  • Applicants must have between 3-6 years of experience in Civil Engineering, Middle East/US/UK experience, which would be desirable but are not essential.
  • Good communication skills, and ability to work well independently at times
