Responsibilities
- Report to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
- Responsible for overseeing all finance, accounting, payables/receivables/fixed assets, cash flows, financial systems, and MIS activities.
- Partner with the CFO, Senior Leadership, HR, Admin and IT staff to enhance and better integrate multi‑departmental functions.
- Manage a team of 12-15 resources.
- Oversee all accounts, ledgers and reporting systems ensuring compliance with appropriate GAAP standards (Ind‑AS) and regulatory requirements.
- Lead all day‑to‑day finance, month‑end, year‑end and accounting operations.
- Coordinate all internal and external audit activities.
- Handle fixed‑assets accounting and physical assets verification.
- Support the CFO in various management presentations.
- Review monthly MIS reports and present to top management.
- Assist leadership in the annual budgeting and planning process; administer and review all financial plans, comparing them to actual results and identify, explain and correct variances.
- Oversee capital budgeting.
- Manage accounts payable operations, vendor payments, employee expenses and vendor coordination and negotiations.
- Manage accounts receivable activities, interact with clients and maintain customer relationships.
- Follow up with clients for collections.
- Act as the authorized signatory and cash custodian.
- Maintain internal controls, review SOPs, update them to meet changing business complexities and safeguard company assets.
- Lead new finance‑related software implementation, support, SOPs and developments.
- Manage cash flow and invest in short‑term opportunities.
- Leverage team strengths; provide clarity on roles, develop and implement training programs to maximize individual and organizational goals.
- Provide leadership in strengthening internal communications with staff at all levels, creating and promoting a positive and supportive work environment.
- Coordinate tax compliances and align with the tax department to ensure smooth compliance.
Qualifications
- Chartered Accountant (CA) with a minimum of 10‑12 years of post‑qualification experience.
- Preferred experience within the Engineering and Construction industry.
- Solid experience coordinating audit activities and managing reporting, budgeting, account payable and receivable, general ledger and accounting for investments.
- Excellent communication skills to work effectively with India and US leadership.
- Ability to demonstrate the Mac-Culture principles.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Oracle, SAP, QuickBooks).
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and strong knowledge of other Microsoft Office programs.
- Proven history of organization, attention to detail and ability to respond promptly to requests, anticipate organizational needs and maintain efficient team operations.
- Commitment to recruiting, mentoring, training, and retaining a diverse team, with foresight and ability to delegate accordingly.
- Preferred experience working with multinational organizations and strong analytic, organizational and problem‑solving skills that allow strategic data interpretation rather than simple reporting.
- Experience in leading and coaching a team and working closely with the organization’s leadership/executive teams is essential.
