Job summary

Burns & McDonnell India is seeking an experienced Accounting/Finance professional in Mumbai to manage cash flow forecasting, budgeting, and MIS activities. You will support the monthly and annual planning processes and coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial reporting.

The role requires hands-on experience with Ind AS, treasury operations, vendor coordination, and proficiency in ERP software (Oracle/SAP/QuickBooks).

Qualifications

• CA Inter/MCom/BCom required or equivalent.
• Experience in treasury, payables, audit, and month/year-end closures.
• Strong knowledge of Ind AS and cross-functional coordination.
• Proficient with Oracle, SAP or QuickBooks; advanced Excel skills.
• Excellent communication with India and US leadership.

Responsibilities

• Prepare weekly and monthly cash flow forecasts.
• Support budgeting, MIS reports, and annual planning.
• Coordinate accounts payable/receivable, vendor payments and collections.
• Develop ERP/software solutions; liaise between Finance and IT.
• Assist in month-end/year-end book closure and audit coordination.

Job description

Cash Flow & Funding

Preparation of weekly and monthly cash flow forecasts

Basis the forecast suggests on the investment opportunities

Budgeting & MIS

Support in monthly MIS reports & presentation

Support in the annual budgeting and planning process

Accounts Payable & Receivable

Support the accounts payable operations, vendor payments, employee expenses & vendor co-ordinations.

Support the accounts receivable activities.

Follow-up with clients for collections.

Financial Software

Actively participate in development of software for driving the automation

Be the point of contact between Finance and IT for any ERP/ software related issues

Qualifications

Skills required:

5-6 Years of experience

Experience Within The Engineering And Construction Industry Preferred

Hand on experience of Ind AS

Coordinating treasury, payables, audit activities, IT development and support in the month and year end book closure process

Good communication skills required to work effectively with India and US leadership

Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Oracle/SAP/QuickBooks)

Proficient in Microsoft Excel and a strong knowledge of other Microsoft Office programs

Commitment to completion of work within the timelines
