Job summary

Black & Grey HR is seeking an Assistant Architect with BIM expertise to join a leading construction company in Bangalore North. You will develop and coordinate BIM models, prepare architectural and structural shop drawings, and ensure model accuracy to support project execution.

You will work with multidisciplinary teams, update models from RFIs and design revisions, and ensure compliance with BEP, LOD standards, and ISO 19650.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture (B.Arch) required.
• 3–5 years of experience as BIM Architect/BIM Modeler with a main contracting company.
• Mandatory experience in high-rise residential, commercial, or mixed-use building projects.
• Strong proficiency in Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, and Navisworks.
• Working knowledge of SketchUp is an advantage.
• Good understanding of BIM workflows, BEP, ISO 19650, and LOD standards.
• Experience preparing architectural and structural shop drawings.
• Understanding of construction sequencing, site coordination, and engineering documentation.
• Strong coordination, communication, problem-solving, and time management skills.
• Willingness to conduct site visits and work closely with project and site teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain BIM/Revit models for architectural and structural disciplines per BEP and project standards.
• Produce Revit models from IFC and tender documents with multidisciplinary coordination.
• Prepare and update architectural and structural shop drawings (GA, slabs, beams, columns, walls, finishes).
• Extract CAD drawings, PDFs, DWFs, and IFC files from BIM models.
• Update BIM models and shop drawings based on RFIs, CVIs, and revisions.
• Ensure BIM models meet project standards, quality, and LOD specs.
• Review drawings to identify clashes and resolve discrepancies.
• Coordinate with consultants, engineers, QS, and site teams to resolve issues.
• Prepare detailed drawings, reference drawings, and technical sketches.
• Assist QS with quantities, revisions, and variations.
• Support site teams with clarifications and site visits.
• Manage document submissions via Asite or similar systems.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and coordinating BIM models, preparing architectural and structural shop drawings, ensuring model accuracy, and supporting project execution through effective coordination with multidisciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain BIM/Revit models for architectural and structural disciplines in accordance with BIM Execution Plans (BEP) and project standards.
• Produce Revit models from IFC and tender documents while coordinating with Architectural, Structural, and MEP disciplines.
• Prepare and update architectural and structural shop drawings, including General Arrangement (GA), slabs, beams, columns, walls, block work, false ceiling, flooring, and wall finish drawings.
• Extract CAD drawings, PDFs, DWFs, and IFC files from BIM models as required.
• Update BIM models and shop drawings based on RFIs, CVIs, design revisions, and consultant comments.
• Ensure BIM models comply with project standards, quality requirements, and Level of Development (LOD) specifications.
• Review architectural, structural, and MEP drawings to identify clashes and resolve design discrepancies.
• Coordinate with consultants, engineers, Quantity Surveyors, and site teams to resolve technical issues and support project execution.
