Job summary

Flexli in Bengaluru is seeking an electronics assembler to read schematics, assemble PCBs, and build electrical harnesses. You will work with SMD and THT components, perform PCB rework, and ensure adherence to quality standards.

The role requires hands-on experience with crimping, testing, and documentation. You will collaborate with QA, design, and production teams to maintain process quality and safety at the workstation.

Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience with assembly and PCB processes.

Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret electrical schematics and drawings.
  • Assemble components and PCBs per drawings and work instructions.
  • Assemble PCBs using SMD and THT components.
  • Perform PCB rework and component replacement as needed.
  • Prepare electrical harnesses and cable assemblies.
  • Crimp and terminate various connectors.
  • Debug wiring issues and perform fault finding.
  • Assist in electrical testing and validation.
  • Ensure parts are installed correctly and meet quality standards.
  • Maintain assembly records and documentation.
  • Report defects or deviations to supervision.
  • Collaborate with QA, design and production to resolve issues.
  • Follow safety procedures and keep workstation clean.
  • Support inventory tracking of used parts.

Job description

Key Responsibilities
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and assembly drawings
  • Assemble components and sub-assemblies according to engineering drawings, schematics, and work instructions.
  • Assemble printed circuit boards (PCBs) using both Surface Mount Device (SMD) and Through-Hole Technology (THT) components.
  • Perform PCB rework, including replacing small SMD packages and through-hole components as required.
  • Prepare and assemble electrical harnesses and custom cable assemblies.
  • Crimp and terminate connectors including Molex, Micro-Fit, Mini-Fit, FRC, and other common industrial connector types.
  • Debug and troubleshoot wiring issues, and perform electrical fault finding and repair.
  • Assist in electrical testing and validation of assemblies as per quality standards.
  • Ensure parts are installed correctly and products meet quality standards.
  • Maintain assembly records, checklists, and documentation as required.
  • Identify and report any part defects, missing components, or process deviations to the supervisor And Resolve wherever required.
  • Collaborate with quality, design, and production teams to resolve issues.
  • Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized workstation.
  • Support inventory management by checking and tracking parts used in assembly.
Skills & Competencies
  • Basic knowledge of Electronic & Electrical components.
  • Proficient in SMD and THT soldering, including fine-pitch SMD components.
  • Experience with cable crimping tools and techniques for connectors like Molex, Micro-Fit, Mini-Fit, and FRC.
  • Hands-on experience with harness assembly, including bundling, routing, and labeling.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, BOMs and blueprints.
  • Basic understanding of electronics and electrical systems for troubleshooting purposes.
  • Attention to detail, precision, ability to follow processes, good hand-eye coordination.
  • Familiarity with industrial assembly techniques.
  • Basic computer literacy (for reporting or inventory systems).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Qualifications
  • B.Tech, Diploma or ITI in Electronics, Electrical, Mechatronics or a related technical field.
  • Proven experience in the relevant field.
  • 1-3 years of experience in mechanical/electromechanical assembly.
