Job summary

Wintech Services in Bangalore is seeking an AS400 Supp+ Developer with 4–10 years of hands-on RPGLE/IBM i experience. The role covers development, debugging, and maintenance of business-critical apps with rotation shifts and BI support.

You will handle scheduling, interfaces, and system integrations while mentoring juniors and engaging in end-to-end deployment. Strong expertise in RPGLE, CLLE, DB2/DB400, and SQL is required, along with solid SDLC, change management, and incident management

Qualifications

• 410 years of hands-on experience in RPGLE development and IBM i (AS/400) application support.
• Strong expertise in RPGLE, CLLE, DB2/DB400, SQL, and IBM i operating environment.
• Experience in developing, enhancing, debugging, and maintaining business-critical applications.
• Strong knowledge of production support, incident management, problem management, and root-cause analysis.
• Ability to analyze complex programs, identify defects, and implement effective and sustainable solutions.
• Experience working with job scheduling, batch processing, data files, interfaces, and system integrations.
• Good understanding of SDLC, change management, code reviews, testing, and deployment processes.
• Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills with the ability to work independently and mentor junior engineers.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and troubleshoot RPGLE-based applications on IBM i (AS/400).
• Support production issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement fixes.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define requirements and deploy changes.
• Mentor junior engineers and participate in code reviews and testing.
• Manage batch jobs, data files, interfaces, and system integrations.
• Adhere to SDLC, change control, and deployment processes.
