Job summary

Anlage Infotech in Hyderabad is seeking an experienced AS/400 developer to join our backend team. You will work on development and support of AS/400-based applications, leveraging DB2/400, CL, RPG III/RPG IV and SQL/400.

You will extract data from AS/400 systems, tune performance, and prepare technical design and estimation documents. Collaboration with business stakeholders is essential to deliver changes per business requirements. Shift timing is 1 PM to 10:30 PM.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in development and support on AS/400 platforms.
• Experience with DB2/400, CL, RPG III/RPG IV/Free Form.
• Strong SQL/400 and QUERY/400 capabilities.
• Exposure to manufacturing or supply chain a plus.
• Ability to design technical specs and estimations.
• Shift work and coordination with business stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Develop and support AS/400 applications per business requirements.
• Extract data from AS/400 systems as needed.
• Tune database performance and optimize SQL queries.
• Prepare design and estimation documents for development changes.
• Engage with business stakeholders to resolve queries and prepare technical specifications.
• Design and develop applications according to specifications.
• Work in shifts 1 PM to 10:30 PM.

Role & responsibilities

Over 8 years of experience in development and support with core AS/400 technologies, including DB2/400, CL, RPG III/RPG IV/Free Form.

Skilled in extracting data from AS/400 systems based on business requirements.

Extensive expertise in SQL/400, QUERY/400, and other AS/400 utilities.

Experience in Manufacturing and Supply Chain domains (Nice to have)

Strong understanding of database technologies such as DDS physical and logical files, SQL files, stored procedures, and complex SQL queries.

Proficient in advanced ILE concepts, including procedures, service programs, and functions.

Exposure to AS/400 modernization engagements

Thorough understanding of application and database performance best practices and tuning techniques.

Extensive experience in preparing design and estimation documents required for development changes proposed by business users.

Engage with business stakeholders to resolve queries and prepare technical specification documents.

Design and develop applications according to specifications, utilizing the provided technical specification document.

Flexibility to work in shifts [ 1 PM to 10:30 PM)
