Job summary

Technoworkz Technologies in Hyderabad, India invites an experienced AS/400 developer to join our team. The role focuses on development and support across core AS/400 technologies, including DB2/400, CL, RPG III/RPG IV, and Free Form coding.

You will work on SQL/400, QUERY/400, and related utilities, perform data extraction per specifications, engage with business stakeholders to clarify requirements, and contribute to design and estimation documents.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in development and support with AS/400 technologies like DB2/400, CL, RPG III/RPG IV/Free Form.
• Strong SQL skills with SQL/400 and QUERY/400.
• Experience with data extraction based on specifications and EDI tools/processes.
• Experience in Manufacturing and Supply Chain domains.
• Understanding of DDS physical/logical files, SQL files, stored procedures, and complex SQL queries.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop applications according to specifications and the provided technical specification document.
• Engage with business stakeholders to resolve queries and prepare technical specification documents.
• Prepare design and estimation documents for development changes proposed by business users.

Job description

• Over 5 years of experience in development and support with core AS/400 technologies, including DB2/400, CL, RPG III/RPG IV/Free Form.


• Extensive expertise in SQL/400, QUERY/400, and other AS/400 utilities.


• Knowledge of data extraction based on defined specifications, along with experience in EDI tools and processes


• Experience in Manufacturing and Supply Chain domains


• Strong understanding of database technologies such as DDS physical and logical files, SQL files, stored procedures, and complex SQL queries.


• Proficient in advanced ILE concepts, including procedures, service programs, and functions.


• Exposure to AS/400 modernization engagements


• Thorough understanding of application and database performance best practices and tuning techniques.


• Extensive experience in preparing design and estimation documents required for development changes proposed by business users.


• Engage with business stakeholders to resolve queries and prepare technical specification documents.
