Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services in India is seeking an AS400/RPGLE developer with a minimum of 2 years of experience. The role covers end-to-end development on CLP/RPG/RPGLE for commercial applications, with exposure to DB2 and ILE programming. You will work in a multi-cultural environment.

You should be able to write unit test plans, estimate effort, and coordinate SIT and UAT with external vendors. Strong English communication and the ability to work under pressure are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of development industry experience with CLP/RPG/RPGLE on commercial applications.
• Extensive knowledge of AS400 technology (RPGLE, CLLE, DB2) and ILE programming concepts.
• Experience in writing comprehensive unit tests and coordinating SIT/UAT with vendors.

Job Description: -

Must Have:

• Minimum 2 years of development industry experience with exposure to complete life cycle of development at least once on CLP/RPG/RPGLE on commercial applications.
• Extensive Knowledge of AS400 technology (RPGLE, CLLE, DB2), ILE which also means working knowledge of modular programming in ILE-RPG including Modules, Service Programs etc.
• Appreciation and knowledge of effort estimation, Unit Testing. Should be experienced in writing comprehensive Unit Test Cases / Plans. Able to execute & coordinate SIT & UAT with another vendor and Project Implementation
• Knowledge of trouble shooting during various phases of development
• Reasonable working experience of coding new (and changing) complex CL programs.
• Knowledge of DB2 concepts and associated methodologies.
• Should have good English communication and experience in multi culture work environment.

Good-to-Have:

• Experience in Insurance domain (preferred in Life insurance domain)
• Can work as part of the larger team to ensure satisfactory deliveries.
• Proven ability to work well under pressure and in a team environment.
