Job summary

Programmers.io is seeking a hands-on AS/400 iSeries developer with RPG expertise for client-focused projects in Bengaluru. The role requires strong ILE experience and the ability to design, develop, and debug RPG/CL programs, sub-procedures, and service programs.

Proficiency with SEU, PDM, DFU, Spool files, and iSeries Navigator/IFS is essential. You will collaborate with clients, create design documents, and guide junior developers to ensure successful project delivery and adherence to quality

Qualifications

• Hands on experience in IBM AS400 iSeries platform and RPG programming is a must.
• Experience in Integrated Language Environment (ILE).
• Experience in Creating and debugging RPG/CL programs.
• Ability to create Sub-procedures, Subroutines and Service Programs.
• Knowledge of SEU, PDM, DFU and Spool files.
• Experience with iSeries Navigator and Integrated File System (IFS).
• Ability to handle Client requirement, creating design document and walk them with client.
• Help Juniors in Development and ensure successful delivery of projects.

Responsibilities

• Interact with clients to understand requirements and prepare design documents.
• Guide juniors and ensure timely, quality delivery of development tasks.
