Job summary

Careernet is seeking an experienced AS400 developer in Chennai to develop, enhance and maintain AS400-based applications. You will analyze issues, identify root causes, and deliver timely fixes for production incidents, translating specifications into solid technical solutions and components.

The role requires executing code reviews, unit testing, debugging, and impact analysis, along with preparing technical documentation and supporting releases and maintenance activities.

Qualifications

• 5-8 years of hands‑on experience in AS400 application development and support.
• Strong understanding of AS400‑based enterprise application environments and software development practices.
• Ability to troubleshoot application defects and deliver stable, maintainable solutions.
• Experience working through the complete development lifecycle, including requirement analysis, development, testing, and implementation support.
